Reliquary
kept upstairs, by jo.

Come up the narrow stairs.
This is a cabinet for objects whose stories are smaller than their shadows. A chipped moon. A bottle without a label. The papers from a drawer nobody uses.
I made a page because a shelf only has so much room.
Three things from seven.
I / the ceramic moon
Found in a box at a street market. One point has been repaired. It stands only if you put a folded receipt underneath.
II / the violet bottle
The glass is thicker at the base. It turns the afternoon light the color of the last few minutes before rain.
III / the brass telescope
It belonged to somebody who watched the roofs, according to the person who sold it. That is all I know.
THE REST OF THE COLLECTION IS STILL IN BOXES.
Other doors left open.
A few neighbors with collections of their own.

There is room here for an afternoon. Follow the circuit when you are ready to leave.
