Across the street
I keep a few notes here after the rest of the day has finished. Mostly things that wouldn't go anywhere else.
The view is the back of a building, a lamp post, and a little bit of sky. It looks different every time it rains.
Some evenings
a gap in the rain
The road went quiet at half past ten. For a minute you could hear the water coming down the drainpipe. Then the next bus went by.
the upstairs light
Someone moved their desk. There is a new rectangle of light on the ceiling across the street.
before the kettle
Opened the window even though it was cold. The room needed to sound a little more like outside.
